Canada Day

This weekend is July 1st - Canada Day. I had to go look up what Canada Day is and this is what I found. Canada Day celebrates the anniversary of when Sir John. A MacDonald went to England and asked the Queen for permission for the colonies of British North America to form a confederation. So it's basically like July 4th, but without the signing of a declaration.

Russ is having a barbque over at his place on Avondale - and hopefully after consuming large amounts of fine Schneider meat products and Sleeman beer - i'll be able to make it home and get some sleep. Ah weekends - sleep time. And GTA time.

Lost franchise opportunity

Well - we had this idea to open a Jamba Juice ( franchise here in Waterloo on the corner of King and University. In that plaze where Soctia Bank used to be. Luck would have it that the competing chain Booster Juice is already moving in. I'm not taking it too badly though - because this is the first time I've had an idea that someone else has done. At least I know I was thinking in the right direction. Now all I need to do is execute the next good idea faster and i'm in.

Tomorrow night is mini-pub night out at McGinnis Front Row. Tuesday is half price appetizer night - so it'll be nachos and wings for dinner along with a couple pitchers. If it's as hot tomorrow as it was today, then it'll be time to go home and change into some shorts before heading down there. The good thing is that we're walking, so that will burn off the food we eat.
